May 2018 - 2 night booking for sleep training, 6 month old. Weybridge

“My evenings have completely changed since Caroline came to stay for 2 nights. My 1 year old daughter didn’t like going in her cot and wanted to me to rock her to sleep, she woke up throughout the night screaming and only settling if we co-slept. Now I put her down at 7 and that’s it until the morning. It’s amazing to have our evenings back. The whole process took about a week and I wish I had tried sooner. Thank you Caroline” (Rachel Dowsett)

April 2018 – 1 night booking for sleep training, 6 month old baby girl, Guildford Q.E.P,  I also do the occasional babysitting for them.

March 2018 – 2 night sleep training 5 month old baby, East Morsley.

This was the couples 2nd child. Their first child is 2.5 years old and generally a good sleeper and in a good routine.  With their younger child, they were struggling. He was a lot windier and has reflux. They found the evenings hard especially getting him to bed as he could not self-settle. He was also waking a lot during the night and they found it hard to get him back to sleep without introducing bad habits.   I was asked to come and help them and give them guidance.

(Ben & Harriet Ward)

February 2018 - 2 night booking for Sleep training, 1 year old twins

“We contacted Caroline thoroughly exhausted and feeling that we would never sleep again! She quickly found a slot to come and stay with us for two nights. I'm happy to say that our two little ones are now sleeping through the night; a marked change from being up two to three times with each, feeding for lengthy periods and struggling to get them back to bed after a feed. At nine months, Caroline gently reassured us that they didn't need to be fed overnight and helped us allow them time to self settle. This has transformed their nights and ours! We would highly recommend Caroline. She is really professional, supportive and a thoroughly nice person.”

February 2018 – 2 night sleep training, Redhill (Susan vanderson)

February 2018 - 2 nights sleep training - Redhill

The little one was 1 year old and could only fall asleep being breast feed.  He would wake every couple of hours which was exhausting the mother.  He also didn't sleep well at nap times so I supported the parents and gave them the advice and help they needed to make improvements.  I have since heard that their son is sleeping brilliantly at night and is self settling.  His day time naps are much better during the day aswell!

Jauary 2018 - 1 night sleep training SW11 Dulwich

I stayed with this family for one night.  The baby was only four months and he could  not self settle.  He also fed every 2 hours so mum was shattered!  The recommended age for sleep training is 6 months, or when a baby is on solids.  I have had clients contact me prior to this age absolutely desperate and I have come out and helped them.  I’m more than happy to do this, as long as the parents understand I’m there to help teach self settling methods and I’m not there to stop the baby waking up completely though out the night (e.g.  sleeping solidly 7pm-7am); this can’t be expected until they are only solids!

If parents understand that, then I’m happy to come before 6 months.  The majority of the time, once the baby learns to self settle they do start waking up less frequently and sometimes they even start sleeping through with out any further intervention!

This family is a prime example of this.  Mum called me up desperate and in need of some advice.  I agreed to spend one night with them to teach them the skills to get the baby to stretch his feeds and to self settle.  The first night he did amazing and with a very gentle method we got him to self settle.  As a result he now sleeps 7pm- 7 am with only one night feed.

Very similar to a previous job earlier on in the month.  The baby was 4 months old and couldn't self settle.  He would only fall asleep on mum or dad and woke several times through out the night.  The baby needed cuddles and patting to get back to sleep. During my stay, I taught them tips and technics of how to encourage their baby to self settle.  After just two nights the baby learnt how to get to sleep by himself, with out any aids, and the wakes up became less frequent.  After a week of my visit he started sleeping though 7pm-7am.  He now also sleeps well during the day.  He goes in his cot very content and goes straight off to sleep.

May 2017 - Night nannying/sleep training, Godalming
